Configuring Locations

• In the FlexAMS System, you can configure different locations where services are being rendered. Essentially, a location is a place where a client is being serviced by working staff members. This feature is a way of assigning people to specific locations.
• In the ”Corporate Information” tab, ensure you have already selected the correct organization and facility in the first and second forms. Under “Facility Information”, click “Locations” to view and modify locations for your selected facility/organization.
• If creating a new location, enter all necessary information into the fields. You only need to enter the NPI number if it differs from the facility’s NPI number.
• Under “Identifiers”, there are several check boxes that are used as properties for the location.
  1. Assignable – This location can be assigned to Staff, Clients and Workstations for billing and accessibility control.
  2. Dwelling – Identifies location as a Client Residence.
  3. Off-Site – Identifies location as explicitly Off-Site, regardless of any Place of Service selected in “Place of Service Code”.
  4. Professional – This location is used while delivering professional services.
  5. Non-Professional – This location is used when delivering non-professional services.
  6. Medication Admin. – This location is used when dispensing medications.
• Place of Service Code is how you can specifically classify what kind of location it is.
